S.O.J. - Same Old Jets
Not worth wasting a long diatribe on this one. Three words. Same. Old. Jets. Sure, it's a rookie quarterback. And, yes, mama (and everyone else) said there'd be days like this - although five picks against 10 completions may have even been an extreme prognostication.
Bottom line is the Jets played an inferior team and played down to their level. This is not a new phenomenon. It's a very, very familiar storyline for fans of this team. Speaking of familiar...news flash: the defense still isn't that good. Moreover, our penchant for giving up gashing chunks of yardage on the ground has also failed to fade in the distance.
Perhaps the scariest part is not Sanchez's struggles, instead it's envisioning any longer delay without Cotchery and (can't even believe I'm saying this) Brad Smith. With those two alongside Edwards, the offensive complexion of the Jets inherently changes. However, the idea that Kris Jenkins could be gone for an extended period of time is beyond troubling.
It sure would be fun to root for a really good team one of these days. Alas, it is not my destiny.

Losing Kris Jenkins probably doesn't help, huh?
