Mets Win, Mets Win
Having a lovely day outside of the city this weekend, so I only caught glimpses of today's Metros game. The part I did see was encouraging but, with this team, perhaps the most predictable. Johan was back to being Johan, playing the role of stopper.
The difference today was the Mets actually managed to push a few runs across, though not in particularly impressive fashion. I am also continuing to like Francouer. It's not drinking the Kool-Aid when you're fully conscious of your actions. Sure, it's likely nothing and he's not a difference maker, but I think he makes our current lineup slightly less laughable in some way.
Get a split tomorrow. Do that and despite all the doomsday stuff that so quickly and easily came back after these first two games in Atlanta...Find a way to win with Nieve against Vasquez, and you're showing me a lil' sumpin' sumpin'. Surprise us. Don't fold like a house of cards. Come out and win another to salvage a split. Show a little fight. My rehab is in the rearview mirror. I'm ready to sprinkle in some positivity. No, for real. Just give me a reason...
