Yup, We Lost to This GuyBusy week with the whole work thing, so here's a quick toss sweep around the sports world and our superficial thoughts on matters.
The Cable Guy: Our beloved New York Jets continue to torture indiscriminately. Yesterday, as the Raiders tried desperately to give the game away, the green-and-white refused to take it. Chris Baker's tripping over those tricky hashmarks in overtime had to be the icing on the cake. Mangenius nonetheless seems to be mildly please much to chagrin of the crew at Jets blog. At least we blew the game to Tom Cable. Wow.
Colt-4-Heisman: A few weeks ago, I asked the band to strike it up on behalf of the Heisman candidacy of one Colt McCoy. The sentiment is now fairly popular after the 'Horns dismantling of Mizzou. I have to admit, having followed this Texas team more closely than others over the years, this had strong potential for a let down. I'd be down for a Texas-Gators National Championship. Just saying...
Who's Worst?: As I spent the majority of Sunday couch-bound with the NFL, I was gripped by a compelling question. Between the Bungles, Chiefs and Lions who really is the worst team in the NFL? Perhaps we'll re-visit this one in the coming days. Suffice to say they're all frightentingly bad. If only any of these teams had Jim Haslett at the helm!
Ray of Hope: Last but not least, the Rays are going to the World Series. We'll be back in a bit. For now, I'm just going to re-read that first sentence about a hundred more times. Maybe by then it will start making a little more sense. Has it ever been easier to root against Filthidelphia? I think not.
