Hawaii Goes Out...and Completely Redeems Themselves!

Ok, I know when to eat crow. Earlier this week, I criticized the Rainbow Warriors reprehensible schedule. Unfortunately, that fact remains the same. HOW-EVER, the Aloha bunch does get some serious props for what has now become a post-game ritual (previously the team participated in this excercise during pre-game warm-ups). The haku is fabulous. To be more technical (courtesy of Wikipedia), "the haka is a traditional Māori dance form. The use of haka in popular culture is a growing phenomenon, especially in New Zealand. Traditionally, haka were used only in Māori cultural contexts, but today haka are used in a wide range of public occasions to impart a sense of importance of the event."

The video above is following Hawaii's victory over UNLV a week ago. Enjoy. I've seen Rocky Top and the Eyes of Texas but this, my friends, is a pretty cool tradition in its own right.
